KEPCO KPS Delivers 500 Million KRW in Smart Learning Device Support Funds for Jeonnam and Gwangju... Equivalent to 1,500 Units
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] Korea Plant Service & Engineering (KPS), a company specializing in power plant maintenance, recently supported remote learning smart devices to alleviate difficulties faced by students due to online classes.
On the 28th, KPS held a 'Smart Device Purchase Support Fund Delivery Ceremony' at the Jeonnam Provincial Office to provide smart devices necessary for online education for children and adolescents from low-income families. The event was attended by Kim Young-rok, Governor of Jeollanam-do, Kim Beom-nyeon, President of KPS, and Roh Dong-il, Chairman of the Jeonnam Community Chest of Korea.
In his greeting, President Kim Beom-nyeon stated, "We will focus on expanding educational infrastructure so that no student faces difficulties in remote classes due to economic reasons or other factors."
With this, KPS delivered a total of 500 million KRW (equivalent to 1,500 devices) in smart device purchase support funds to assist information-vulnerable students in the Gwangju and Jeonnam regions, including 200 million KRW to Jeollanam-do, 200 million KRW to Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education, and 100 million KRW to Naju City.
