Aekyung Industrial Donates Love-Sharing Goods Worth 3.2 Billion KRW
[Asia Economy Reporter Jo Yujin] Aekyung Industrial Co., Ltd. (CEO Lee Yoon-kyu) announced on the 29th that it delivered daily necessities to support neighbors who may be marginalized due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, in collaboration with the Community Chest of Korea and the nonprofit organization Hope Sharing People.
Aekyung Industrial donated daily necessities such as shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and soap worth approximately 3.2 billion KRW based on consumer prices to the Community Chest of Korea to help vulnerable groups whose economic situations have worsened due to COVID-19 manage their personal hygiene. The donated Aekyung Industrial products will be distributed to childcare facilities, nursing homes, and basic livelihood security households nationwide through social welfare facilities.
Since 2009, Aekyung Industrial has been donating goods in partnership with the Community Chest of Korea, contributing approximately 22 billion KRW worth of products based on consumer prices up to this year.
Earlier, in February, Aekyung Industrial provided emergency support of 10,000 masks and daily necessities worth about 300 million KRW for the personal hygiene of residents of Chungcheongnam-do and Korean nationals returning from Wuhan City, Hubei Province, China, the epicenter of the COVID-19 outbreak.
