SSG.com Launches Shared Shopping Cart Service 'Hamkke Jangbogi'
[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] SSG.com announced on the 29th that it will launch the ‘Hamkke Jangbogi’ (Shopping Together) service, which allows multiple people to shop simultaneously.
This service is based on the concept of a ‘shared shopping cart,’ where an SSG.com member called the ‘Master’ creates a shopping cart and invites members, allowing family, friends, or acquaintances to shop online together and receive delivery.
When an SSG.com member creates a ‘shared shopping cart,’ the ‘Hamkke Jangbogi’ service begins, and the creator becomes the ‘Master.’ The Master can send invitation links via messenger to up to 19 people excluding themselves. Notably, other participants do not need to be SSG.com members to use ‘Hamkke Jangbogi.’ Participants enter using an access code, add products to the cart, and the Master completes the final payment. Afterwards, all members can check the delivery status together.
However, this service is only available on mobile devices. All members can add or remove products, but only the person who created the cart can make the payment. The ‘Master’ can create up to three shared shopping carts simultaneously.
SSG.com launched the ‘Hamkke Jangbogi’ service to replicate the offline shopping experience online. In other words, it allows users to experience shopping together in a non-face-to-face way, similar to visiting a store together and picking items.
The ‘Master’ can conveniently organize the shopping cart with just one invitation, eliminating the need to ask preferences or gather opinions individually. Members can add desired items without physical or time constraints, making it much more practical.
To celebrate the launch of the ‘Hamkke Jangbogi’ service, a ‘Shopping Support Fund’ event is also being held. Among customers using ‘Hamkke Jangbogi,’ 400 people will be selected by lottery to receive 5,000 S Money. After using the service, customers can apply by clicking the entry button on the event page.

Donghoon Han, Executive Director of Platform Planning at SSG.com, said, “With the rise of the ‘untact’ trend over the past few years, we started developing the ‘Hamkke Jangbogi’ service to easily use for family or friends’ birthday gifts, housewarmings, camping, and travel preparations. Not only food but also fashion, beauty, and all other categories can be used through ‘Hamkke Jangbogi,’ making it useful in situations where social distancing requires minimizing meetings.”
