‘U-Health Zone’ is a health management service that installs unmanned health management booths in easily accessible locations so anyone can conveniently measure their health status anytime and receive real-time measurement data through a dedicated app (My Caddy) and on-site kiosks.
Real-time measurement results such as blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol, stress index, and body composition can be received on a smartphone, and customized health guides including exercise and nutrition based on the data are also provided, supporting a self-care system that enables individuals to practice healthy living on their own.
The district installed the ‘U-Health Zone’ at Seongsu Health Center in Seongsu-dong on the 24th. This installation was made possible through cooperation between the smart healthcare specialist company HealthMax and the public-private health network. HealthMax is responsible for device installation and overall integrated data management and operation based on a cloud server, while the district plans to identify metabolic syndrome risk groups through local expansion and distribution, encouraging participants to join metabolic syndrome management projects and strengthening self-management.
A district official said, “It is expected that even young and middle-aged people who had difficulty visiting hospitals or health centers due to time constraints will be able to use it regularly, which will help prevent and manage chronic diseases,” adding, “Additional installations within Seongdong-gu health centers are confirmed for the second half of the year.”
Jeong Won-oh, Mayor of Seongdong-gu, stated, “It is meaningful to induce changes in lifestyle for improving residents’ self-management abilities and practicing healthy living through more systematic health management based on ICT and other information and communication technologies.”
