However, some facilities such as the amusement park and outdoor zoo will resume limited operations during the holiday period from the end of this month to May 5th, while adhering to quarantine guidelines.
Previously, Seoul Children's Grand Park canceled or postponed all events and temporarily closed major gathering facilities such as the zoo, children's playground, amusement park, and botanical garden starting February 29th to prevent the spread of COVID-19. However, as social fatigue due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic increases, the amusement park and outdoor zoo, which are outdoor and dispersed movement facilities, will be operated in a limited manner from the 29th and May 1st, respectively.
The amusement park, in cooperation with the private operator, will limit the number of simultaneous users and conduct dual temperature checks upon park entry and amusement park entry. Additionally, quarantine measures such as maintaining social distancing when riding attractions will be implemented. However, if a large number of people gather at once, operations will be immediately suspended without prior notice.
Also, the zoo must be viewed following a one-way route to maintain order and prevent contact, and operations will be immediately suspended if social distancing guidelines are not followed. Areas where contact with animals is possible, such as the Little Animal Village, Herbivore Village, Tropical Animal Hall, and Indoor Animal Hall, including the first floor of the Waterfowl Pavilion and the first floor of the Marine Animal Hall, will remain closed.
