[Asia Economy Reporter Ki Ha-young] Yoon Jong-kyu, Chairman of KB Financial Group, spent time communicating with KB Kookmin Card employees on the 28th through the 'e-Town Hall Meeting,' a new empathetic communication method suited for the untact era.
Now in its third year, the Town Hall Meeting is KB Financial's representative communication culture where the CEO and employees freely and sincerely discuss various current issues, fostering mutual understanding.
The e-Town Hall Meeting held that day was conducted in a format where Chairman Yoon directly conversed with KB Kookmin Card employees via a real-time chat room. Discussions covered a wide range of topics, from group management performance and company issues or strategic directions to questions for the CEO.
In particular, during the live broadcast, Chairman Yoon conducted a video call with employees from the KB Kookmin Card Daegu branch. He expressed gratitude and warm support to the employees in the Daegu and Gyeongbuk regions who quietly did their best despite difficulties caused by the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and successfully overcame challenging times.
Chairman Yoon usually leads the spread of a horizontal and free communication culture by sharing opinions with employees using the mobile messenger 'Live Talk Talk' and having lunchbox meetings with employees in their 20s and 30s.
Starting with the Kookmin Card Town Hall Meeting that day, Chairman Yoon plans to communicate with employees of all group affiliates, including KB Kookmin Bank, KB Securities, and KB Insurance, until June.
