This inspection, conducted from the 27th to the 29th, involved delivering hygiene supplies and posters to each village school, providing environmental and personal hygiene education, discussing quarantine measures, and adjusting future village school program schedules in preparation for the reopening of schools.
Additionally, a session was held to boost morale and encourage village teachers who might feel discouraged due to the inability to operate village schools normally because of COVID-19.
Kim Kyung-hee, representative of the Dream Playground Village School, said, "Like regular schools, village schools feel empty without children," and added, "Since the phased reopening of schools is about to begin, we will prepare thoroughly for the reopening of village schools and do our best to welcome the children."
Goheung village schools operate a total of nine schools: two metropolitan-type and seven school-attached-type village schools. Starting this year, centered around the core village school, Goheung On Village School, a strong and flexible network is being formed, creating an organic relationship and reestablishing itself as a more advanced form of village education community than before.
