Yuhan-Kimberly Launches Biodegradable Wet Wipes 'Huggies Naturemade Bamboo'
[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] Yuhan-Kimberly announced on the 28th that it has launched the premium biodegradable wet tissue ‘Huggies Naturemade Bamboo.’
The new product is designed to be made from naturally biodegradable fabric that can decompose more than 90% within six months.
Bamboo sap extract was used to minimize irritation to the delicate skin of babies.
All ingredients used in the new product are only those with a green rating, which corresponds to grades 1 to 2 in the EWG Skin Deep safety rating system established by a global nonprofit environmental organization dedicated to environmental protection and health. EWG Skin Deep evaluates the safety of cosmetic ingredients and classifies them from 1 to 10, with lower numbers indicating higher safety.
A Yuhan-Kimberly official said, “From the early stages of development, we focused on eco-friendliness and product safety so that consumers can use it with confidence,” adding, “We expect it to help parents of infants and toddlers, who inevitably use wet tissues daily to wipe their baby’s bottom after bowel movements or to clean foreign substances and sweat from their hands and feet, reduce environmental burdens and practice conscious consumption.”
