[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Yeongdeungpo-gu (Mayor Chae Hyun-il) is recruiting passionate young people to participate in the ‘Yeongdeungpo Youth Network’ to realize active communication administration with young residents and establish a youth-friendly administrative culture.
The Yeongdeungpo Youth Network first started in 2017 with the establishment of the Youth Support Team. It began with the purpose of forming a youth community based in Yeongdeungpo, allowing young people to directly propose policies and plan programs, thereby guaranteeing the free activities of youth.
The main activities include ▲ discovering youth issues and proposing policies related to youth policies ▲ monitoring youth policies and collecting opinions from local youth ▲ attending youth network meetings and participating in youth-related events hosted by the district. The term of office is one year, with one possible renewal. Members receive meeting attendance allowances and activity expenses, and outstanding participants are awarded commendations.
The recruitment targets are young people aged 19 to 34 who ▲ reside in Yeongdeungpo-gu ▲ work (self-employed) in Yeongdeungpo-gu ▲ or are active in youth organizations located in Yeongdeungpo-gu.
Youth wishing to participate can fill out the application form posted in the ‘Notices & Announcements’ section on the district website (www.ydp.go.kr) and submit it via email (sumin3063@ydp.go.kr).
The number of recruits is around 30, and the application deadline is until recruitment is complete. The selection results will be individually notified in May.
