Nexon Korea's Subsidiary Neople Secures Additional 1.1141 Trillion KRW Loan
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] Nexon Korea announced on the 27th that it borrowed 1.1141 trillion KRW from its subsidiary Neople. The interest rate is 4.6%, and the borrowing period is from the 20th of this month to April 19th of next year. Nexon Korea also borrowed 382 billion KRW from Neople on the 8th, increasing the total cumulative borrowings to 1.4961 trillion KRW after two loans. The company stated that the funds will be used for "operating capital and investment resources," but given the large scale of the borrowings, the possibility of a major M&A cannot be ruled out. Neople is a key affiliate of Nexon Korea and developed the PC online game "Dungeon & Fighter," which is popular in the Chinese market.
