Korea Energy Agency Achieves 'Excellent' in 2019 Public Institution Win-Win Growth Evaluation

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] The Korea Energy Agency announced on the 27th that it received the highest grade of 'Excellent' in the '2019 Public Institution Win-Win Growth Performance Evaluation' conducted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups.
The Public Institution Win-Win Growth Evaluation assesses the win-win growth performance of public institutions and the perception survey results of SMEs, awarding four grades: Excellent, Good, Average, and Improvement.
This year, a total of 58 public institutions (28 public enterprises, 26 quasi-governmental institutions, and 4 others) were evaluated.
Including the Korea Energy Agency, a total of 8 institutions received the Excellent grade.
The Korea Energy Agency set strategic win-win growth goals such as ▲expanding sales channels for SMEs ▲strengthening capabilities ▲establishing a growth foundation ▲creating jobs.
According to these goals, it is working to secure overseas market entry channels for excellent SMEs and support SMEs in energy saving and efficiency improvement.
In October last year, it hosted the 'Korea International Renewable Energy Conference (KIREC)', the world's largest renewable energy conference, providing business opportunities such as promoting excellent technologies and products of SMEs.
It also supported overseas certification and participation costs for international exhibitions to help SMEs enter overseas markets and secure sales channels.
It promoted a solar power distribution project on 744 idle sites of the National Police Agency and post offices nationwide, encouraging the use of domestically produced high-efficiency solar modules.
It made efforts to foster domestic SMEs and revitalize the local economy by prioritizing the selection of local SMEs.
Through cooperation projects such as Energy Together and Green Credit, the Energy Agency transferred energy-saving technologies from 35 large companies including LG Chem to 395 SMEs.
It actively supported energy efficiency improvements for SMEs by inducing free investments from large companies and local governments.

Kim Changseop, Director of the Agency, emphasized, "Achieving the highest grade in the win-win growth evaluation is the result of company-wide efforts to support SME growth," adding, "We will continue our win-win growth efforts to strengthen mutual cooperation and establish ourselves as an institution leading social value."
