DGB Financial Group Hosts 'National NIE Energy Diary' Contest for Elementary, Middle, and High School Students
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Woo-kwon] DGB Financial Group and Dr. An Natural Love Research Institute are hosting the "12th National Elementary, Middle, and High School NIE Energy Diary Contest."
This contest, aimed at enhancing youth creativity, integrated thinking skills, and eco-friendly practices through environmental diaries, is sponsored by the Ministry of Environment, Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education, and the United Nations Global Compact Korea Network. All elementary, middle, and high school students nationwide are eligible to participate.
Students wishing to participate can write energy-related diary entries for more than ten days using newspaper articles in the "NIE Energy Diary" distributed at all DGB Daegu Bank branches and on the website, and submit them by September 25 to any DGB Daegu Bank branch or the Dr. An Natural Love Research Institute.
Participants may also download the diary from the DGB Financial Group website, complete it on a computer, and submit it via email within the deadline.
Judging will be conducted separately for the paper diary and online categories. For the paper diary category, after strict evaluation by expert judges, approximately 55 individual winners will be selected, including one Grand Prize winner (Minister of Environment Award), one Excellence Award winner (Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education Superintendent Award), and two Gold Prize winners (DGB Financial Group Chairman Award), who will receive certificates and scholarships. Additionally, two schools with the most awards will receive group awards (Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education Superintendent Award).

The newly established online category this year will be judged similarly to the paper diary category, with about 30 winners receiving certificates and scholarships, including one Excellence Award winner (United Nations Global Compact Korea Network Chairman Award) and one Gold Prize winner (DGB Financial Group Chairman Award).
