On the 27th, Lee Yong-seop, Mayor of Gwangju Metropolitan City, visited the office of the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions (KCTU) Gwangju Regional Headquarters and exchanged opinions with Chairman Yoon Jong-hae on ways to normalize the Gwangju-type job project.
At this meeting, Mayor Lee proposed the establishment of the Gwangju Win-Win Job Foundation (tentative name) as a measure to normalize the Gwangju-type job project.
In response, Chairman Yoon expressed agreement, stating that the mayor’s proposal largely aligns with the content that the KCTU Gwangju Regional Headquarters has advocated so far.
They also exchanged in-depth opinions on the direction of establishing the foundation corporation and the organizational composition of the task force for the foundation’s establishment.
However, Chairman Yoon refrained from giving an immediate answer that day.
