[Asia Economy Reporter Shinwon Yoon] A woman in her 20s who assaulted a flight attendant after mistakenly taking the wrong wine on board was sentenced to prison.
On the 27th, Judge Yonghwan Kim of the Incheon District Court Criminal Division 7 sentenced A (24), who was indicted without detention on charges of violating the Aviation Security Act, to eight months in prison.
A was indicted without detention for allegedly slapping flight attendant B (32) once on the face with her palm inside a passenger plane parked at Incheon International Airport Terminal 1 in Jung-gu, Incheon, in September last year. It is known that A assaulted B after demanding red wine but B brought white wine.
A had a prior record of being sentenced to prison in 2018 for violating the Aviation Security Act and obstructing official duties.
Judge Kim stated, "The defendant admits to the crime and is remorseful," but added, "She has a history of being punished for multiple violent crimes and has committed the same crime before."
