Jangseong-gun 'Hong Gil-dong Theme Park' Reopens
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Oh Gil-su] Jangseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on this day that the Hong Gil-dong Theme Park, which had been closed since February 22 to prevent the spread of COVID-19, will reopen from the 27th.
The county expects the living quarantine period to continue even after reopening, and installed unmanned ticket machines at the Gukgung Range and 4D Theater, which have high usage rates among visitors.
Considering that the Gukgung Range is used evenly from young adults to the elderly, ticket machines that accept both cash and card payments were installed.
At the 4D Theater, where most visitors are families, ticket machines that accept card payments only were prepared.
The popular ground fountain in the plaza is scheduled to be operational again by the end of next month. In addition, golden elm and moss phlox were planted around the fountain, and pine tree pruning work has been completed. The county plans to plant an additional 1,000 marigolds in the future.
Furthermore, Jangseong-gun completed preparations for reopening by repairing oil-stained wood and decks, and maintaining water tanks and restrooms.
Yoo Doo-seok, the mayor of Jangseong-gun, said, “As demand for outdoor activities is expected to increase with Family Month, we will do our best to ensure a safe and happy outing.”
