Regarding the Blue House’s claim of ignorance about his sexual harassment, he criticized, "Which citizen would believe that?" and announced plans to form a team to investigate the truth behind sexual crimes.
At the Supreme Council meeting held at the National Assembly main building on the morning of the 27th, Acting Leader Shim pointed out, "Is the Moon administration giving special favors to Oh Geo-don because he is on their side?"
He said, "It is also suspicious that the sexual violence counseling center just watched for over two weeks," adding, "Just before the general election, a major incident occurred where a key ruling party figure and the Busan mayor promised to resign, yet the Blue House and the Democratic Party claim they did not know. Almost no citizen would believe that. The central party says they had no knowledge at all, but who would believe that?"
He criticized, "Oh Geo-don’s close aide was a former Blue House administrator, and the law firm that notarized the case is Moon Jae-in’s own Busan law firm. The current representative, lawyer Jeong Je-seong, is the nephew-in-law of former President Roh Moo-hyun and was the head of talent recruitment for Oh Geo-don’s campaign. Which citizen could believe the Blue House did not know?" He added, "During the election period, Lee Hae-chan’s remark that the opposition party seemed to be preparing political sabotage for the general election must have been in reference to Oh Geo-don’s case," he pointed out.
He continued, "The Blue House and the ruling party must not deceive the people," and added, "We will form a truth investigation team to clarify the sexual crimes of these three individuals: Oh Geo-don, Kim Nam-guk, and Park Won-soon’s secretary." The investigation team will consist of no more than 10 members, including lawmaker Kwak Sang-do and elected officials, and will hold its first meeting this afternoon.
