Gumi City Holds Appointment Ceremony for Parent Monitoring Group to Ensure 'Safe Childcare'
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Young-wook] Gumi City, Gyeongbuk announced that it held the '2020 Gumi City Parent Monitoring Group Appointment Ceremony' on the 24th at the city hall's 3rd floor medium conference room.
The Parent Monitoring Group consists of 5 parents who currently have infants and toddlers attending daycare centers and 5 experts with experience in childcare and health fields. They are organized into 5 teams of two people each, pairing a parent and an expert, and will monitor daycare centers from May to December.
Parents and childcare and health experts directly monitor the operation status of daycare centers, including meals, hygiene, health, and safety management, and provide consulting to daycare centers with the aim of improving the quality of childcare services.
Last year, the city also conducted parent monitoring targeting 220 locations and took the lead in creating a safe childcare environment that parents can trust and rely on.
