In episode 7 of tvN's "Hospital Playlist" aired on the 23rd, Lee Ik-jun (Jo Jung-suk) was shown comforting a patient who was heartbroken because of her divorced husband.
That day, Ik-jun was worried as the patient who had received a liver transplant from her husband appeared to have given up on life. The patient confessed, "My husband cheated on me with a younger woman and started a new household, but I didn't know and even bowed deeply to him. He gave me his liver out of guilt."
Ik-jun comforted her, saying, "That’s not true. Your husband isn’t such a bad person," but the patient replied, "You grew up with good parents and received a good education, so you wouldn’t understand. There’s no need to understand, and even if I did, what good would it do?" Ik-jun showed a bitter expression.
Later, Ik-jun visited the patient again and said, "No matter when he cheated or what his intentions were, your husband did something truly remarkable. He risked his life to donate. Now, you should just let him live his life, and you should live your own life, mother," offering words of comfort.
Lee Ik-jun shared, "My wife cheated on me, so we got divorced," and revealed, "I worked all night at the hospital, but my wife had an affair with our friend's husband. At first, my pride was hurt. It was embarrassing in front of others. I wondered why life was so twisted and felt like dying," opening up about his past.
