Small Business Association Elects Candidate Bae Dong-wook as New President

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Korea Federation of Micro Enterprises held an extraordinary general meeting on the 23rd at a hotel located in Guro-gu, Seoul, and announced the election of candidate Bae Dong-wook as the 3rd president. Newly appointed President Bae Dong-wook ran unopposed in this election and was elected with 68% of the total valid votes in favor.
Born in 1961, the new President Bae Dong-wook currently serves as the chairman of the Korea Video Culture Facility Association and has been the vice president of the Korea Federation of Micro Enterprises. He will lead the federation until March 2021, completing the remaining term of former President Choi Seung-jae.
President Bae stated, "Based on over 30 years of experience in the micro-enterprise sector, I will work together with our members to create a Republic of Korea where micro-entrepreneurs are respected and can live well." He added, "Together with a professional executive team, we will thoroughly prepare for policy consultations to alleviate the hardships faced by micro-entrepreneurs due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis."
