Gwangyang City Provides 500,000 KRW 'COVID-19 Emergency Support Fund' to Taxi Workers

This decision to provide the 'Emergency Support Fund' was made to protect the livelihoods of taxi drivers who are facing great difficulties due to a decrease in passengers caused by the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
The support targets a total of 481 individuals, including 229 individual taxi business operators and 252 corporate taxi drivers located in Gwangyang City, with a total of 240.5 million KRW being distributed at 500,000 KRW per person. The support fund will be provided in the form of the 'Gwangyang Love Gift Card,' which can only be used within Gwangyang City to revitalize the local economy.
Taxi drivers can apply for the 'COVID-19 Emergency Support Fund' starting from the 27th by submitting the application form to the City Hall Transportation Department or the Taxi Association/Corporation. After verifying the status of the taxi driver, the Gwangyang Love Gift Card will be issued immediately.
