'God of Study' Kang Seong-tae Reveals 'COVID-19 Learning Gap Solutions' on Seocho YouTube Channel at 5 PM on the 24th...Minimizing Learning Gaps with 1:1 Customized Consulting, Online College Admission Briefings, and Support in Five Key Areas
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Seocho-gu (Mayor Eunhee Jo) is conducting the Seocho Hongong (Studying Alone) Project to help students develop the ability to study independently, in response to offline learning restrictions as part of social distancing measures due to COVID-19.
The third installment of the Seocho Hongong Project, "Wise Hongong Life with Gongshin" by study expert Seongtae Kang, parts 1, 2, and 3, will be released on April 24 at 5 p.m. via the Seocho Hongong Project YouTube channel for high school seniors who took the first nationwide mock exam of 2020.
The videos?part 1 "Why Did I Become a Seoul National University Student?", part 2 "Kang Seongtae's Note-taking Method," and part 3 "Common Traits of People Who Excel at Studying"?offer practical advice to effectively support self-directed learning, including ▲encouragement to boost students' motivation ▲mental management tips for studying, aiming to provide realistic guidance to students exhausted by prolonged school delays and online classes to fill learning gaps.
Prior to this, parts 1 and 2 of the Seocho Hongong Project kicked off on April 8 and 10 with a YouTube live broadcast of an "Online College Admission Early Decision Briefing" hosted by renowned admission experts Hani Saem, Pentakill, and teacher Jindongseop.
The videos posted on the Seocho Hongong Project channel have accumulated a total of 6,000 views, ranking first among popular videos on the Seocho channel over the past two weeks.
Additionally, after the nationwide mock exam on April 24, an online college admission early decision briefing for students' admission strategies will be released.
Starting April 7, the Seocho-gu Education Support Center is also conducting customized non-face-to-face 1:1 consulting for up to 1,000 local high school seniors on a first-come, first-served basis.
Applications can be made through the Seocho-gu Education Support Center website (www.seochoedu.or.kr).
Furthermore, Seocho-gu plans to post "Seocho Hongong Study Method Good Tips," a level-specific, highly effective self-directed study method by famous subject instructors, on the Seocho Hongong Project YouTube channel. Participants who complete the Hongong Project will also receive approximately 30,000 KRW worth of college entrance exam study materials.
The "Seocho Hongong Project" provides five tailored self-directed learning support measures through non-face-to-face (online) methods: "College Admission Early Decision Briefing," "Customized 1:1 Consulting," "Wise Hongong Life with Gongshin" for mental management, "Seocho Hongong Study Method Good Tips" by star instructors for each subject, and study material support, offering an online solution for students to study independently in a stepwise manner by category.
This is a Seocho-gu tailored student support policy adapted to the changed educational environment due to COVID-19, and a prompt response to the importance of online education and increased demand for non-face-to-face learning in the post-COVID era. It has received strong support from anxious high school seniors and their parents facing the changed educational environment.
