Organic T Cosmetic Expands Business Area with Medical KN95 Masks
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Hyun-seok] Organic T Cosmetic announced on the 23rd that it will expand its product range to include medical KN95 masks following its production of disposable medical masks. Earlier this month, the company received an order for medical KN95 masks from a company operated by the local government of Nampyeong City and installed a production line. The fully automated production line, which involved an investment of 18 million yuan (approximately 3.1 billion KRW), has a maximum monthly production capacity of 7.2 million units.
The KN95 mask is a product that blocks up to 95% of fine particles sized between 0.3㎛ and 10㎛. The company explained that since the cleanliness level of its existing production line meets pharmaceutical standards, no additional investment beyond the production equipment is necessary.
Organic T Cosmetic has grown primarily producing cosmetics for infants and pregnant women using Chinese tea (cha) as the main ingredient. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the company quickly expanded its product range by launching related products such as disinfectant wet wipes, hand sanitizers, and disinfectant tea water. Recently, leveraging the trust of Chinese local governments, it has further expanded its business scope to include disposable medical masks and medical KN95 masks, accelerating its growth.
