Daejeon City Supports Conversion of 175 Children's School Vehicles to LPG Cars
[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Daejeon City announced on the 23rd that it will support the conversion of 175 local children's school vehicles to LPG vehicles.
Applications for support will be accepted from the 27th of this month until September 18. The target applicants are vehicle owners who scrap children's school vehicles registered before December 31, 2011, and purchase new LPG vehicles for the same purpose (children's school vehicles).
In particular, this year, the support target has been expanded from small diesel vehicles with 15 seats or less to small and medium diesel vehicles or old LPG vehicles.
The city plans to provide a fixed amount of 5 million KRW on a first-come, first-served basis to eligible applicants. Applications can be submitted by vehicle owners by mailing the relevant documents to the city's Fine Dust Response Division.
After receiving the related documents, the city will notify applicants within 14 days whether they are eligible for support. Vehicle owners included in the support target can then submit a new vehicle purchase contract and, within two months, deregister the existing vehicle, register the new LPG vehicle, and claim the subsidy.
