Chairman Seokyung Bae Joins the 'Flower Bucket Challenge' Campaign
[Asia Economy Reporter Yujin Cho] Seo Kyung-bae, CEO and Chairman of Amorepacific Group, participated in the 'Flower Bucket Challenge' campaign on the 22nd to support flower farmers struggling due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
Chairman Seo purchased flower baskets from three Hope Store flower shops operating in Incheon and Daejeon, delivering messages of hope to the founders of over 220 Hope Stores nationwide, which Amorepacific and the Beautiful Foundation have supported since 2004.
Chairman Seo said, "I am sending spring flowers with encouragement to the Hope Store founders who are going through difficult times due to COVID-19," adding, "Like the resilient flowers that endured winter and blossomed in spring, I believe everyone will overcome the current hardships and welcome a vibrant daily life."
Last month, as COVID-19 spread, Amorepacific donated 2,400 hand sanitizers to Hope Stores nationwide.
The Hope Store project, in partnership with the Beautiful Foundation, began in 2003 when the family of Seo Seong-hwan, the founder of Amorepacific, donated the founder's legacy to support single-parent women entrepreneurs, honoring the founder's commitment to women and child welfare.
Seo Kyung-bae, who participated in this campaign upon the nomination of GS Caltex CEO Heo Se-hong, nominated Yoon Seok-min, Chairman of Taeyoung Group, as the next participant.
