LGU+ Offers Free GeForce NOW to High-Speed Internet Subscribers
[Asia Economy Reporter Koo Chae-eun] LG Uplus is offering the cloud gaming service ‘GeForce NOW’ for free to gigabit internet subscribers to expand customer benefits. Accordingly, subscribers of LG Uplus’s gigabit internet service plans, starting from Giga Slim Safe (500Mbps), can use ‘GeForce NOW Basic’ for free on PC from the 23rd.
GeForce NOW is a service that allows users to enjoy the latest popular PC games on 5G smartphones and low-spec PCs based on Windows and Mac without downloading. It offers over 200 popular games including ‘League of Legends’, ‘Tekken 7’, the ‘Dark Souls’ series, ‘Fortnite’, and ‘Destiny 2’.
LG Uplus began providing the GeForce NOW Basic product free of charge to its 5G subscribers on the 1st of this month, and by expanding this to high-speed internet subscribers, it is accelerating its push into the domestic cloud gaming market. ‘GeForce NOW Basic’ is a product available for free without a monthly fee. Users can play continuously for up to one hour per session, and after the time elapses, they can reconnect and continue playing. There is no limit on the number of play sessions.

The premium product, ‘GeForce NOW Premium’, is priced at 12,900 KRW (including VAT), allowing continuous play for up to six hours per session. LG Uplus will also hold an event from April 27 to May 10, giving new subscribers and game players a Dark Souls 3 usage voucher and a gamepad. Son Min-seon, Head of Cloud Services at LG Uplus (Executive Director), stated, “Since the opening of GeForce NOW Basic on April 1, usage traffic has been rapidly increasing. With the expansion of the service target customers, more gamers will have the opportunity to try it, and we look forward to further growth in the future.”
