Daedong Industrial Signs Precision Joint Research Agreement with 'Seoul National University College of Agriculture and Life Sciences'

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Daeseop] Daedong Industrial announced on the 22nd that it has signed a "business agreement for joint research on precision agriculture and training of experts in the smart farm field" with the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Seoul National University (hereinafter referred to as CALS).
The signing ceremony was held on the 17th at CALS in Gwanak-gu, Seoul. More than 10 officials attended, including Won Yuhyun, General President of Daedong Industrial, and Lee Seokha, Dean of CALS at Seoul National University.
Through this agreement, Daedong Industrial plans to jointly conduct research on autonomous driving path generation and tracking algorithms for agricultural machinery with CALS. They also plan to operate internships for graduate students at CALS.

General President Won Yuhyun said, "To become a global leader in the field of precision agriculture, we introduced an autonomous rice transplanter last year and are strengthening research on autonomous driving technology for agricultural machinery such as tractors and combines." He added, "This business agreement is expected to be a good example of industry-academia joint research as it is a project to secure core technologies with business potential for future agricultural technology and to nurture field-oriented talent."
