Creating Communities through Shared Delivery Kitchens and Kitchen Studios
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] Yeonsu-gu, Incheon announced on the 22nd that it has been finally selected for the '2020 Youth Food Service Startup Community Space Creation Project,' which the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs launched this year for the first time to create a distinctive youth dining culture.
Accordingly, the district will receive a total of 300 million KRW in national funding over three years starting this year to create a youth community space equipped with about 10 delivery-only shared kitchens, community spaces, and kitchen studios through site and commercial district analysis within the region.
The district will select local youth participants through a public contest in July and support their growth and independence by providing food service startup spaces for delivery restaurant operations, rent and kitchen equipment support, various practical training, menu development consulting, business promotion, and joint business networking.
The kitchen studio to be created together will also carry out various community contribution projects such as food service startup incubating and cooking classes for youth dreaming of food service startups and local residents in addition to participating youth.
The district expects to contribute to revitalizing the local food service industry and creating youth jobs by supporting young people with diverse ideas in the food service field to create distinctive dining culture spaces based on the sharing economy.
