67,000 Army Soldiers Donate Blood Over Three Months

On the 22nd, the Army announced, "From January 28 to the 20th of this month, over three months, 67,196 Army personnel participated in blood donation, accounting for 42% of the Korean Red Cross group donors."
Major Jeong Mu-gyeong (40) of the Army Logistics Command achieved 200 blood donations in February this year and received the 'Honorary Colonel' blood donation merit award from the Korean Red Cross. Major Jeong, who is responsible for distributing masks and hand sanitizers, said, "I will do my best with the thought that it can be a great help to the people suffering from COVID-19."
Yang In-su (49), an official at the Army General Maintenance Depot, also reached 200 blood donations last month. In the 12th Division Tank Battalion, nine soldiers who have donated blood more than 30 times are working to foster a blood donation atmosphere within the unit. The Tank Battalion donated 103 blood donation certificates to the Korea Leukemia Children's Foundation last year and will donate 218 certificates to the Korea Leukemia Pediatric Cancer Association on this day.
Sergeant Kim Jong-su (42) of the Army 5th Division Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) Support Unit donated 70 blood donation certificates to the Korean Red Cross, and Private Jeong In-seong (26) of the Army 6th Engineer Brigade donated 50 certificates to the Seoul Eastern Blood Center.
