[Asia Economy Reporter Minyoung Cha] Lotte Hotel announced on the 22nd that the second property of its premium landmark hotel brand ‘Signiel,’ Signiel Busan, will open on June 17.
Located in the LCT Landmark Tower (floors 3 to 19), the tallest building in the Busan area, Signiel Busan is a new luxury hotel appearing in the Haeundae area for the first time in seven years. It has a total of 260 rooms boasting panoramic ocean view rooms overlooking the Haeundae sea. From the balconies provided in all rooms, guests can enjoy views of Haeundae Beach in front of the hotel as well as the nearby Dongbaekseom Island.
The interior of the rooms was completed by the world-renowned luxury hotel design firm HBA Group, with the theme of the blue sea. All rooms are equipped with ‘Beautyrest The One,’ a premium model from the Simmons Beautyrest Collection, and also feature products from Frette, a 160-year-old Italian luxury bedding brand used by the Vatican. Amenities from the niche perfume brand Diptyque are also provided.
Various facilities are also available. The lounge ‘Salon de Signiel,’ where all guests can enjoy light food and beverages, operates a family lounge that allows entry with children under 12 years old. The outdoor infinity pool with ocean views and the spa of ‘Chantecaille,’ an eco-friendly cosmetic brand from New York making its debut in Korea, are also attracting attention.
A feast of gourmet cuisine by world-class chefs is also prepared. Star chef Bruno Menard, who gained fame by earning three Michelin stars on his first attempt, personally consulted on the menus for ‘The Lounge’ and ‘Pastry Salon.’ The premium buffet restaurant ‘The View’ offers a live seafood corner, charcoal robata (charcoal-grilled robatayaki) grill dishes, and oven dishes using a European-style brick oven. The Chinese restaurant ‘Chao Ran,’ which presents Cantonese cuisine, features an interior that perfectly recreates the atmosphere of 1920s Hong Kong during the enlightenment period, making it a potential hotspot on social networking services (SNS). Signature dishes of Chao Ran, created by chef Lee Che-ryang from the UK’s Michelin-starred restaurant Hakkasan London, include dim sum and Chinese BBQ that showcase the charm of Guangdong cuisine. The ‘Chao Ran Bar,’ with a Chinese izakaya concept, serves signature cocktails, world-famous liquors, and Chinese-style tapas dishes.
Additionally, luxury weddings have been completed with wedding styling prepared exclusively for Signiel Busan by Christine Vanta, who was selected as ‘Wedding Planner of the Year’ in North America, and recipes by Michelin 3-star chef Bruno Menard. Exotic wedding events utilizing ocean views and outdoor spaces are expected to be held.

Meanwhile, on the official Lotte Hotel website, a grand opening package is being sold to celebrate the opening of Signiel Busan, available for stays until July 19. The package includes one night in a Grand Deluxe Ocean View room and breakfast for two, with prices starting from 358,000 KRW. Taxes and service charges are not included.
