Gwanak-gu Sinwon-dong Community Center Reborn as a Complex Building
Established on the site of the former community center (13 Sinwon-ro 3-gil), operations begin April 27... Transformed into a complex building including a community hall and a small library
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] The Sinwon-dong Community Service Center in Gwanak-gu (Mayor Park Junhee) has been transformed into a 'complex building' and relocated from the temporary office to 13 Sinwon-ro 3-gil (the site of the former community service center), commencing operations from the 27th.
The existing Sinwon-dong office, built in 1986, was old, cramped, and located in a market alley, causing many inconveniences for residents using the facility, leading to continuous demands for a new building.
To address this, the district planned to construct a complex building housing the community service center, autonomous community hall, and a small library. Construction began in December 2018, and the new building was completed by mid-April this year.
The Sinwon-dong complex building spans from basement level 1 to the 4th floor above ground, with a building area of 1,320㎡, comprising ▲civil service office ▲small library ▲dong headquarters ▲autonomous community hall, effectively responding to the increasing administrative, welfare, and cultural needs of residents.
Additionally, the Sinwon-dong complex is equipped with a renewable energy geothermal power generation facility that produces electricity using the earth's heat, making it eco-friendly with zero greenhouse gas emissions, and is expected to save significant energy annually.
