KCC Strengthens Online Education on Personal Data Protection
[Asia Economy Reporter Koo Chae-eun] The Korea Communications Commission and the Korea Internet & Security Agency announced on the 20th that in cases where in-person group training on personal information protection is difficult due to the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), mandatory legal education can be replaced with online training.
The KCC plans to actively support education using online content to ensure smooth online training. Personal information protection education is one of the four major legally mandated trainings. From January 31 to December, group training must be conducted monthly for businesses and users subject to the Network Act, but it has been temporarily postponed due to COVID-19.
