An Octogenarian Found Dead in Apartment Basement...The Mystery of the Missing Walker
[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-yoon] An elderly man in his 80s with mobility difficulties was found dead in an underground storage room of an apartment in Gangbuk-gu, Seoul, prompting the police to launch an investigation.
According to the Gangbuk Police Station on the 20th, at around 4:40 PM the previous day, Mr. Nomo (89) was found dead in an underground storage space of an apartment in Beondong, Gangbuk-gu, Seoul. He was living with his family in another building of the same apartment complex.
At the time of discovery, Mr. Nomo was found collapsed, with multiple wounds and bruises on his body. The police have requested an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
The deceased’s family reported him missing to the police that night after he left home on the 14th and did not return. The family claimed that Mr. Nomo was so immobile that he needed a walker for the elderly to walk. However, the walker has not yet been found either in the basement where he was discovered or around the apartment complex.
