Recruitment of 'National Jury Panel' for Selection of K Unicorn Companies
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Daeseop] The Ministry of SMEs and Startups announced on the 20th that it is recruiting a national jury to participate in the final evaluation for the selection of 'K-Unicorn Companies.'
The national jury will be recruited through the K-Unicorn website from the 21st of this month until the 11th of next month. The eligibility criteria for the national jury are individuals with more than three years of experience in startup, venture, technology, or management-related fields, and the recruitment scale is about 200 people. If the number of applicants exceeds 200, selection will be made by lottery.
K-Unicorn companies refer to the support targets of the 'Baby Unicorn (companies valued under 100 billion KRW) 200 Nurturing Project' and the 'Pre-Unicorn (companies valued between 100 billion KRW and 1 trillion KRW) Special Guarantee,' which are promoted as part of the K-Unicorn project.

Lee Okhyung, Director of the Venture Innovation Policy Division at the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, said, "Since K-Unicorn companies are representative innovative companies leading the future of our country, we have introduced the national jury system with an open evaluation method to enhance transparency and fairness in the selection process." He added, "We ask for the public's interest and participation so that promising startups and venture companies with high growth potential can be selected as K-Unicorn companies."
