[Asia Economy Reporter Hyungsoo Park] Incon's stock price is on the rise. Amid a surge in COVID-19 cases worldwide, expectations for improved performance in the thermal imaging camera business division appear to be influencing the stock price.
As of 10:07 AM on the 20th, Incon is trading at 1,235 KRW, up 7.39% from the previous trading day.
Incon is selling the BP-5G, a facial recognition thermal detection thermal imaging camera integrated with a proprietary platform. The company is preparing to supply it primarily to domestic educational institutions.
The BP-5G is a facial recognition thermal detection thermal imaging camera. It is a thermal measurement network camera dedicated to detecting suspected COVID-19 patients. It automatically recognizes multiple people at entrances or within a certain range to detect body temperature, and automatically triggers an alarm along with the body temperature for individuals with high fever, managing personnel entry in real time.
A company representative explained, "For the thermal detection thermal imaging cameras currently being purchased by education offices, Incon plans to support them with its independently developed integrated platform," and added, "The data on high fever patients collected by each school is expected to become an important system that can prevent, block, and manage many diseases even after COVID-19 through statistical extraction and management by period and region."
