The Suwon Southern Police Station in Gyeonggi Province booked A (25) without detention on charges of property damage and assault.
A is accused of kicking the passenger door of a Bentley vehicle on a busy street in Paldal-gu, Suwon City, Gyeonggi Province, around midnight on the 19th.
The incident became known after a video capturing the situation was posted on an internet community and the anonymous Facebook page "Suwon Anonymous Speaks for You" on the same day.
In the video, the intoxicated man A leans toward the white Bentley vehicle's passenger side, shouts, and then repeatedly kicks the car door, damaging it. The vehicle in the video is a Bentley Continental GT, priced at around 200 million KRW.
A is also accused of grabbing the collar and assaulting B (23), the rental car business owner who was sitting in the driver's seat of the Bentley and came outside to protest.
During the police investigation, A reportedly stated, "I do not remember the situation at the time due to being intoxicated."
