"K2 Releases Love Korea Edition Featuring Dokdo and Baekdusan Tiger Motifs"
[Asia Economy Reporter Yujin Cho] Outdoor brand K2 has launched the ‘2020 Love Korea Edition,’ inspired by Dokdo and the Baekdu Mountain tiger.
K2 is introducing the 2020 Love Korea Edition following the great consumer response to last year’s Love Korea project, which featured products embodying patriotism such as the ‘3.1 Jacket’ and ‘Dokdo T-shirt’ commemorating the 100th anniversary of the March 1st Movement, as well as the ‘Baekdudaegan Series.’
This Love Korea Edition consists of the Baekdu Mountain Tiger T-shirt, inspired by the tiger inhabiting Baekdu Mountain, the Dokdo graphic T-shirt inspired by our land Dokdo, and a vest. Each product features graphics of the Baekdu Mountain tiger, Dokdo, and other symbolic elements to add meaningful significance.
The Baekdu Mountain Tiger round T-shirt is characterized by a luxurious yet striking tiger embroidery design and uses a soft-touch material for excellent comfort. It has quick sweat and moisture-wicking and drying functions, making it comfortable to wear even in midsummer. It is available in two colors: melange dark gray and black, priced at 89,000 won.
Two types of Dokdo graphic T-shirts made from recycled materials using PET bottles have also been released. K2’s Dokdo graphic T-shirts are eco-friendly recycled T-shirts featuring cartoon-style graphics conveying an environmental message from the extinct sea lion Gangchi and the natural monument black-tailed gull.
Additionally, a Dokdo Taslan vest made with durable eco-friendly materials and accented with a Dokdo graphic logo has been introduced.
