Shinhan Card Launches Free App to Prevent Voice Phishing
Startup InfiniGuru and 'FishingEyes' App Joint Launch
[Asia Economy Reporter Ki Ha-young] Shinhan Card announced on the 19th that it has launched 'Phishing Eyes,' a free application (app) for preventing voice phishing (telephone financial fraud), in collaboration with the financial solutions specialist company Infinigru.
This app is a joint voice phishing response platform that prevents fraud damage through linkage with the Financial Institution Anomaly Detection System (FDS). It is designed to tightly block secondary and tertiary damages caused by voice phishing as more partner financial institutions participate.
By utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) to analyze text messages, call patterns, and installed app lists on mobile phones in real time, it links suspicious signs of voice phishing with Shinhan Card's FDS. Accordingly, it can fundamentally block fraud damage even when customers are unaware of voice phishing.
Since a significant portion of recent voice phishing crimes involve Android smartphones, Phishing Eyes was developed as an Android-exclusive app. It provides optimal security solutions on the Android system and can be downloaded and installed from the Samsung Galaxy Store and One Store.
Infinigru, which developed Phishing Eyes together with Shinhan Card, belongs to 'I'm Ventures,' Shinhan Card's in-house venture and startup incubation program. It also won the grand prize at the I'm Ventures 4th cohort results presentation held last December.
