According to the Democratic Party’s Gwangju City Party on the 19th, the elected representatives of the 21st general election in the Gwangju area held a policy meeting in the afternoon at the Gwangju Regional Headquarters of the Korean Federation of Trade Unions.
At the Gwangju Regional Headquarters of the Korean Federation of Trade Unions on that day, executives representing labor unions in the Gwangju area, including Chairman Yoon Jong-hae and Senior Vice Chairman Choi Jeong-yeol, attended in large numbers.
The elected representatives listened to the labor sector’s position on the contentious issues of the Gwangju-type job, which has been facing difficulties due to conflicts between the business entity and the labor sector, and discussed ways to normalize the project.
Chairman Song Gap-seok (Gwangju Seo-gu Gap) said, “Among the various issues in Gwangju, we recognize the Gwangju-type job issue as the most important and urgent problem, and all elected representatives have a strong will to resolve it,” adding, “For the Gwangju-type job, which has been regarded as a model case of coexistence and social grand compromise, to be successfully established, it is essential that discussions for restoring mutual trust continue.”
Meanwhile, on the 17th, the Democratic Party elected representatives visited Gwangju City and expressed concerns about the struggling Gwangju-type job through a policy meeting with Mayor Lee Yong-seop and related officials, stating their intention to actively work towards normalizing the project.
