Opening of Garak Mall Rooftop Garden
Garak Mall Rooftop Garden Allotted to 36 Resident Households, Opening from April 17... Providing Urban Agriculture Experience for Local Residents to Grow and Taste Produce in the City
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Seoul Agro-Fisheries & Food Corporation (President Kyungho Kim) opened the 'Garak Mall Rooftop Garden' on the rooftop of the Garak Mall sales building to the local residents from the 17th by leasing out 36 garden boxes to revitalize urban agriculture.
The Garak Mall rooftop garden was established in April 2015 and has provided urban agriculture experience opportunities to 182 local households near Garak Market from 2015 to 2019.
The corporation annually leases the rooftop garden free of charge so that local residents can naturally understand urban agriculture through the experience of directly cultivating and harvesting various crops such as potatoes and lettuce in the city and sharing them with their families.
