70-Year-Old Woman Confirmed with COVID-19 Dies in Cheorwon, Gangwon Province
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Eun-byeol] One patient in Cheorwon, Gangwon Province, who had contact with a confirmed case from Uijeongbu St. Mary's Hospital, where a group outbreak of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) occurred, has died.
According to health authorities on the 18th, a 70-year-old female confirmed patient died at 4:50 a.m. at Wonju Severance Christian Hospital. She tested positive for COVID-19 on the 3rd and was transferred to Wonju Medical Center for treatment.
Her condition worsened on the 12th, and she was transferred to Wonju Severance Christian Hospital, but she died due to respiratory failure and acute pneumonia symptoms. The deceased was confirmed positive after visiting a bathhouse in Cheorwon, which was frequented by a confirmed caregiver from Uijeongbu St. Mary's Hospital.
