High School Girl Arrested for Coercing Peers into Sending Sex Exploitation Videos (Update)

A teenage girl who threatened a peer minor to obtain sexually exploitative videos has been arrested.
On the 17th, the Gangbuk Police Station in Seoul announced that they had arrested a teenage high school student, Ms. A, on the 15th on charges of violating the Act on the Protection of Children and Juveniles Against Sexual Abuse.
Ms. A is accused of demanding naked photos from a teenage female, Ms. B, whom she had befriended through Facebook Messenger, receiving the photos, and then threatening to distribute them to coerce Ms. B into sending sexually exploitative material.
After receiving a complaint from Ms. B’s side, the police apprehended Ms. A at her home on the 13th and applied for an arrest warrant. The court issued the warrant requested by the prosecution.

A police official stated, "We are investigating whether Ms. A distributed the sexually exploitative material externally," and added, "It has been confirmed that this crime is unrelated to the 'Nth Room' and 'Doctor’s Room' cases."
