Suncheon-si Women-Friendly Citizen Participation Group Produces and Donates Children's Masks
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Suncheon City, Jeollanam-do recently announced on the 17th that the Women-Friendly Citizen Participation Group (Chairperson Kwon Ae-im), the Women Pharmacists Association (Chairperson Park Eun-hee), Jorye Large Pharmacy (CEO Yoon Seo-young), and Miz Hospital (Chief Director Shin Jin-ok) directly produced 800 cotton masks for children to protect them from COVID-19 and delivered them to the city.
These organizations gathered opinions to make handmade cotton masks for children and collaborated with the Suncheon Women with Disabilities Solidarity to produce them together. The delivered masks will be used by Suncheon City Dream Start, which operates local children's centers and educational programs for children, to support low-income vulnerable children facing difficulties.
The Suncheon Women-Friendly Citizen Participation Group stated, “We hope this small help will be of assistance to our children during these difficult times due to COVID-19.”
A Suncheon City official said, “We appreciate the efforts to create a women-friendly city and the determination of citizens, including the Suncheon Women-Friendly Citizen Participation Group, to overcome COVID-19,” adding, “It is reassuring that ordinary citizens are always lending their support.”

Through monitoring the local community living environment and suggesting inconveniences, they propose constructive opinions and policy directions for the creation of a women-friendly city.
