Gwangju City, Relocation of Streetlights and Traffic Signals for Urban Railway Line 2
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] The Gwangju Metropolitan City Urban Railway Construction Headquarters announced on the 16th that they are conducting relocation work for 192 streetlights and 49 traffic lights that interfere with civil engineering work at the construction site of Phase 1 of Gwangju Urban Railway Line 2, which began construction in October last year and is now in full progress.
As of today, 14 streetlights and 4 traffic lights around the World Cup Stadium (World Cup Seoro) road have been relocated, and the remaining streetlights and traffic lights will be relocated according to the civil engineering schedule.
The Urban Railway Construction Headquarters plans to minimize inconvenience to residents in the area by promoting the relocation work in advance, as the relocation of streetlights and traffic lights will be actively carried out starting from the road in front of Mirae Children's Hospital on Daenam-daero, Nam-gu.
In particular, after relocating the streetlights, the existing illumination levels will be maintained to ensure pedestrian safety at night, and the traffic lights will be continuously coordinated with the Gwangju Police Agency to prevent traffic accidents and avoid disruptions to vehicle traffic.
Given the difficult economic situation, advance payments will be made to the contractors immediately upon commencement to ensure prompt execution of construction costs.
