National Museum of Korea, Remote Education for Elementary Students in Online Classes
[Asia Economy Reporter Jonggil Lee] The National Museum of Korea announced on the 16th that it will conduct real-time online remote education for elementary school students attending online classes due to the impact of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19). The program involves learning about the museum's cultural assets and exploring related careers. Learning materials will also be distributed in advance through the online platforms used by schools. An official stated, "We will pilot the program starting on the 17th for 6th graders at Jeongdeok Elementary School in Seongbuk-gu, Seoul," adding, "We plan to expand and continue the education based on future demand." The National Museum of Korea has been conducting real-time remote education since 2018 for schools in book-deprived areas and students with health disabilities.
