"Daegu City Reports 62 Cases of COVID-19 Re-Positivity After Recovery, 15 New Cases in Four Days (Update)"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] In Daegu City, 62 patients who were diagnosed as fully recovered from the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) have been found to test positive again.
According to Daegu City on the 16th, the number of cases testing positive again after recovery increased by 15 from 47 cases as of the 12th, within four days. Among the 62 patients, 45 showed symptoms and 17 were asymptomatic.
There were 157 contacts of the re-positive patients. Among them, 72 were cohabiting family members and 85 were contacts outside the family. The city has completed specimen testing for 100 people so far, and 3 cohabiting family members tested positive. Daegu City explained that these are also cases of re-positivity.

Daegu City stated, "The re-positivity routes of these patients will likely require scientific verification after completing specimen testing for the remaining 57 scheduled for testing," and added, "We plan to focus on monitoring and managing symptoms in recovered patients to prevent infection cases caused by re-positivity after recovery in advance."
