Korea Investment Trust Management Launches 'Korea Investment US Dividend Aristocrats Fund'
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Korea Investment Trust Management announced on the 16th that it will launch the "Korea Investment U.S. Dividend Aristocrats Securities Investment Trust (Stock)" (hereinafter referred to as the Korea Investment U.S. Dividend Aristocrats Fund), which selects and invests in U.S. companies that have continuously increased dividends for more than 25 years.
The Korea Investment U.S. Dividend Aristocrats Fund tracks the S&P 500 Dividend Aristocrats Index. This index is calculated by S&P Dow Jones Indices LLC, a leading U.S. index provider.
The S&P 500 Dividend Aristocrats Index includes companies from the U.S. S&P 500 Index that meet the following criteria: ▲ companies that have increased dividends for 25 consecutive years ▲ companies with a market capitalization of over 3 billion USD ▲ companies with an average daily trading volume of over 5 million USD in the past three months. Each stock is included with equal weighting, and a sector allocation limit of 30% is applied. As of the end of January, there were a total of 57 stocks included in this index. The weights are rebalanced equally every quarter, and the index is reconstituted annually with stocks that meet the criteria.
A representative from Korea Investment Trust Management stated, "The S&P 500 Dividend Aristocrats Index consists of stocks that have increased dividends for more than 25 years, not just companies with high dividend yields," and added, "The Korea Investment U.S. Dividend Aristocrats Fund invests mainly in large-cap stocks with stable dividend capabilities, offering relatively strong downside protection, making it a good long-term investment option."
