After Selling Nonghyup Products... Emart24 Sees Significant Growth in Vegetable and Fruit Sales
[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Nonghyup products sold at Emart24 have been receiving great responses from consumers.
On the 16th, Emart24 announced that from the 1st to the 13th of this month, sales of vegetables and fruits increased by 269.7% and 204.7% respectively compared to the same period last year. Considering that sales of vegetables and fruits from January to March this year increased by 174% and 167% respectively compared to last year, the sales in April, when Nonghyup brand products began to be sold, increased by about 40 to 90 percentage points.
Nonghyup brand products ranked high within each product category. Among fruits, following the most sold convenience store items such as bananas (Minseong 2+3 Banana) and apples (2+2 Motnani Apple), Nonghyup brand Jeju tangerines, Daejeo tomatoes, and cherry tomatoes ranked among the top sellers.
In the vegetable category, after Cheongyang chili peppers (5-6 pieces/bag), value-type green onions, and peeled garlic, Nonghyup brand honey sweet potatoes, onions (2 pieces), and Sumi potatoes made it into the top 5 in sales. Additionally, Nonghyup brand products such as eggs and thinly sliced pork belly all ranked first and second in their respective categories, gaining strong customer support.
Emart24 signed a business agreement with Nonghyup Economic Holdings in February to promote the consumption of domestic agricultural products. Since April, they have started selling a total of nine Nonghyup brand products including sweet potatoes, potatoes, onions, seasonal fruits such as Daejeo tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, tangerines, two types of fresh eggs, and thinly sliced pork belly.
