On the 16th, GS25 announced that it will offer 'GS25 Only Special Price Products' in partnership with rental and subscription specialists Hanssem Homecare, SK Magic, Kkukka, and Carby.
This is because the 'streaming life' centered on subscriptions, which pursues rational consumption as single-person households increase, is becoming a trend. According to data from KT Economic Management Research Institute, the domestic rental market has grown at an average annual rate of 32.8% over the past five years. It is expected to grow from 26 trillion won in 2016 to 32 trillion won in 2018, reaching 40 trillion won in 2020.
Customers interested in home disinfection and sterilization can use home care services that manage everything from home appliances to mattresses and kitchen hoods, rental services for household appliances such as air purifiers, dishwashers, and massage chairs, flower subscription services that deliver flowers every two weeks, and vehicle rental services, all at prices discounted compared to market rates.
Additionally, customers can easily use the services non-face-to-face without separate consultations, and receive discounts of up to 23% compared to standard prices depending on the service. With increased time spent at home due to 'social distancing,' interest in space care products such as disinfection, sterilization, air conditioning, and mattresses is expected to rise.
Customers wishing to use the service can access the QR code or URL attached at GS25 stores, select the desired product, and present the corresponding barcode at the store counter to register. After registration, the contract is completed by consulting with a specialist from the respective company.
