Dobong-gu Recruits Social Innovator 'Youth Fellows'... 6 Million KRW Support Per Person
Seoul's First Autonomous District to Provide 'Execution Funds' (Total 6 Million KRW) to Youth Fellows... Support for 'Mentoring and Networking Programs' to Enhance Participants' Capabilities
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Dobong-gu (Mayor Dongjin Lee) is recruiting participants for the 'Youth Fellow' program until the 29th to support young people in Dobong-gu who are currently engaged in or planning social innovation activities to solve public issues.
The term ‘Youth Fellow’ refers to participants in the ‘Dobong Youth Fellowship.’ These are young social innovators who are active based on their local community and use their resources and environment in various fields to solve social problems with innovative ideas, aiming to change the world for the public good.
Selected Youth Fellows will receive a total of 6 million KRW in execution funds for social innovation activities (1 million KRW per month for 6 months). This is the first time a Seoul autonomous district has provided support funds to young innovators.
Additionally, mentoring and networking programs for capacity building will be provided.
The program will accept 10 participants. Any young person aged 19 to 39 who resides in Dobong-gu or is active in Dobong-gu as their local base can apply.
The application period is from April 16 to April 29. Applicants can fill out the ‘Dobong Youth Fellowship Application Form’ and ‘Social Innovation Activity Plan’ available on the Dobong-gu Office website under Notices & Budget → Notice Board → Announcements, and submit them via email (kk89@dobong.go.kr). Final selections will be announced on the district website in mid-May after document and face-to-face evaluations. Selected fellows will carry out social innovation activities from May to December.
