[Asia Economy Reporter Shinwon Yoon] Yoido Full Gospel Church recently denied reports that it officially supported the Christian Liberty Unification Party.
On the 14th, Yoido Full Gospel Church issued a statement saying, "There has been an announcement that our church decided to support the Christian Liberty Unification Party, but this is not an official position," and added, "This was announced by the 'Yoido Full Gospel Church National Salvation Mission,' an organization formed by some members belonging to Yoido Full Gospel Church, in the context of attending the Gwanghwamun rally and supporting Pastor Jeon Gwang-hoon."
They continued, "Yoido Full Gospel Church has repeatedly declared political neutrality, and we inform you that this fundamental principle remains unchanged ahead of the upcoming general election."
Earlier, some religious media reported that the Yoido Full Gospel National Salvation Mission, formed by lay members of Yoido Full Gospel Church, declared support for the Christian Liberty Unification Party ahead of the 21st general election.
